About our foodbank
Scunthorpe Foodbank has been facilitated by Connect Church Ashby Road, Scunthorpe since June 2010. We now have four centres over Scunthorpe including Connect Church Ashby Road; St George's Church and the CrosbyOne Centre on Digby Street, The Haven on Dorchester Road in Westcliffe and Epworth Baptist Church in Epworth.
Working with over 50 referral agencies we see around 1,300 clients every year, these clients and their families represent approximately 3,000 people.
Our food is donated by the people of North Lincolnshire, from individuals, churches and schools. Every few weeks we visit a different local supermarket and ask shoppers to help us by donating something from our shopping list.
Each year we collect and distribute well over 24 tonnes of food. We are really very grateful for the generosity of local people.
The foodbank is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who are supported by the Project Manager, Tim Parker.
